THOR - ONLY THE STRONG (1985)

The enviable career of Jon Mikl THOR begins back in 1973 and has continued steadily since then, hundreds of thousands of records sold, and that during the past three decades has ridden Metal land. Originally from Vancouver, THOR is an oddball. A true showman in his concerts was devoted to bend jon_sp_strongtour steel bars or burst hot water bottles with their lungs from song to song. Multifaceted as few bodybuilding champion in Canada and the U.S., always using heavy music as a tool for intensive training. He mixed his powerful physique with powerful rock, and thus began the long reign of the legend of worship in the gray area between stardom and the underground. By the way has also been a film actor and producer. More to the point. Long before the days of modern Power Metal 'Frodo and the Ring', the genre was ruled by muscular men in leather who wrote about crushing skulls and destroy their enemies. Thor is one of the best examples of that early Power Metal, and "Only the Strong" exemplifies all that he and his band represented. Published in 1985, just at the peak of movement and the best time of the band, that in the period 1980-86 hit the Empire. With the development of more 'classical' escorting Thor: Cherry Bomb backing vocals, Mike Favata on drums, Keit Zazzi on bass and guitarist Steven Price, solidifying its position as one of the most underrated guitarists and composers in the history of Metal. A real cult album that has absolutely nothing to envy of other classics of the era, in which the ballads are despised as weaklings and cowards that God Hammer overwhelming Nordic ruthlessly strikes again and again. Pure 80's Metal.

Q5 - STEEL THE LIGHT (1984)

Steel The Light was the debut album by this band from Seattle. Published in the late summer of 1984, Q5 brought a breath of fresh air to the northwest coast of North America. Along with three former members of another legend of Seattle, TKO, Evan Sheeley (bass), Rick Pierce (guitar) and Gary Thompson (drums), Floyd Rose (guitar) and Jonathan K. (Voice) Q5 founded and began to compose. Recorded Two demos in 1983 and 1984. Q5HOA01 The Albatross label heard about the superior quality of the compositions and sent the band into the studio to record the LP-length is known as Steel The Light. Music For Nations took the band to the European launch. The reviews were extremely positive. Each metal magazine in the world loved the album and got only positive feedback. For some reason it did not help sales at all. The highlight of the career of the band was touring with Lita Ford, and share the stage with Twisted Sister and Y & T. It's a shame that this album and this band or have not been recognized. Poor record sales (despite phenomenal critical) and a gradual decline in popularity was that the band decided to make a sequel more "commercial" Steel The Light: When The Mirror Cracks was published in 1985. This album worked even worse than its predecessor and the band never recovered. Floyd Rose scored a hit in the future ... with the invention of the tremolo system that bears his name, while Jonathan K., Evan Sheeley Rick Pierce and formed Nightshade. But despite its short life, the band managed to release one of the best pieces of Metal and Hard Rock would never have seen the light. Forget Def Leppard (guess who?), Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Savatage or Thin Lizzy, Van Halen and Boston. Q5 offers on their first album a brilliant and clever mix of them all with a polished clear sound and refreshing majestic two-guitar riffs and great melodies, rounded with a serious text with social messages. The result is simply gorgeous, and ahead of its time. Q5 teacher exercised with this record. Again I stress the fate damn this band. A jewel in the Hard Rock.

A Spy In A Speed Boat Is Being Chahed

The problem with the dead captain's log

The dead do not know they are dead,
walk without body and following his death as if they lived.

The dead appear in the corners and common places you visited with them.

The dead also have a habit of provoking talks desktop and all you ask for them.

The dead appear in your dreams, I remember them a song, a piece of paper or photograph.

And you know, I have nothing against the dead, it's just that sometimes (most days), I would like to understand that what separates us, what makes us different, of which we have those who want to live without having to remember. Nacho

Survived.
I did it against my own forecasts.
At times, rare but important thought of other things.
Although I have a head full of concepts difficult to explain, say, writing.
Each day that passes I am convinced of my own deductions.
blot eventually one day I went. Eventually
.
Tiraré what I built.
will clean up the mess.
leave this ship has no choice, purpose and name. Nevermore
dedicate a tear again.
And someday that you loved is dead and will be your sentence when you need
as always
not even have a place to bring flowers.
